Candle Care Guide
All of our scented candles are lovingly made to provide you with hours of delightful fragrance. Here are a few useful tips to help keep them looking and working their best (and safest)
- Always light your candle in a well ventilated room, away from draughts. This will stop rapid or uneven burning and avoid any black marks on your vessel.
- Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting, this will encourage your candle to perform to its best providing the cleanest and most even burn possible. Try and avoid long or crooked wicks, which can create high flames, smoking and sooting.
- Always burn your candle for 2-4 hours at a time where possible and ensure the melt pool reaches the edge of the candle vessel before extinguishing. Burning for less time can cause a tunnel effect leaving wax around the sides of the vessel, equally burning for too long can affect the wick performance, causing a carbon build up.
